Shelley's Watermelon Dishcloth

I'll blame the dodginess of this photo on my iPhone, shall I?
Shelley loves watermelon.  Watermelon anything.  So when I came across this dishcloth pattern I just had to knit it for her!

I am not sure if Bendigo Woollen Mills Cotton was the right choice for a dishcloth as it is so soft and slightly fluffy.  Have you had success with this yarn for dishcloths?  Please tell as I don't want to keep going on my dishcloth bender if they will all fall apart or leave a fluff trail.

Perhaps as a washcloth it will be ok.

Ravelled here

Have you knitted/crocheted a watermelon themed item?  I'd love to see it!

xx

  3. Oh my goodness, that is just so cute!! Must put that one on my list. I haven't tried the Bendigo cotton for dishcloths. I an curious as to how they go too. I guess you can only give it a wash and see. I am using a brand from Yarn Over and it is a little coarse, as were the Sugar and Cream brand I used previously. Though they are definitely up to the job and wash up nicely.

  4. Cute dishcloth. I was actually just thinking about ordering some Bendigo cotton to make some dishcloths and facecloths so would be interested in hearing how this dishcloth fares after washing/using.

  5. That is just too cute! I have no idea whether Bendigo yarn is suitable, and I've never made a dishcloth before, but I think I might have to now. A Dishcloth Bender, haha!

Hey thanks for popping by! I read all your comments and really try and get to your blog too. Despite my good intentions, I don't always reply to each message but I am very grateful for the time you take in sharing your thoughts with me. Word verification is back up because I am getting spammed big time. So thanks for taking that extra step in commenting. Blessings, Fi xxxxx
